Day 22

Day 22 - What makes you different from everyone else.

Um... I don't know. Well lets see.... In person I'm pretty outgoing but when it comes to talking on the phone I am super shy. I try not be judgmental but towards myself I am EXTREMELY judgmental. I hate inconsistency and change. I don't know if any of those things make me different from everyone else but those are some random traits I have.

My New Theme Song

On My Way - Phil Collins
This is my new theme song. And it's by Phil Collins which makes it that much greater!

Day 21

Day 21- a picture of something that makes you happy

1. The Church o
f Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the gospel and my Savior and the knowledge and comfort that it brings to me life.
2. Disney. Disney movies, Disney music, Disneyland, Disney just makes me happy!
3. The 50's. I don't know why, but the 50's era makes me happy! I love the music and the dancing and the clothes. I think it's all great!
4. Ice Skating. I love to ice skate! When I am off the ice for a week or more I miss it like crazy! Ice Skating makes me happy! Especially my ice skating class.
5. St. George. Since I moved away I realized how much I love St. George. I love the red rocks, the weather, the people, the sites, everything! Being in St. George makes me happy!
6. Music. This one is a biggie! Music can almost always make me happy. Music is my life, my friend and will be part of my career.
7. Piano. This just goes right along with music. My piano can ALWAYS make me happy. It is my release when something is wrong and to me it's just fun!
8. Temple. The temple makes me happy, whether it's the St. George temple, Logan temple, or any temple! Seeing the temple, being on temple grounds, being inside the temple. The temple always puts a smile on my face.
9. Sun. The sun, sunshine, and heat! I am a HUGE fan of warmth and summer time!

Day 20

Day 20- someone you love
How can I put just one person on this? I think that's impossible! I know some of these pictures are repeats but oh well! And of course this doesn't cover near all of them!

Day 19

Day 19- nicknames you have and why you have them.

Dace - Because it's a shorter version of Dacy
Spacey Dacy - It rhymes and sometimes it's true
Ebay - Because that's how my name shows up when you try to type it in T9Word
Squirrel Girl - I don't really know how I got this one, my dad just came up with it
Umar Googledof - I don't think I can even explain this one... long days and inside jokes?

That's all I can really think of right now. The most common one is Dace just because it's the shortened one.

Day 13

Day 13- a letter to someone.
I don't really understand this one. I guess I'm just going to write a little letter to someone who I wish I could say something to.

Dear Chris,

This letter is mostly just to say thank you. Thank you for everything you taught me and thank you for being one of my best friends. I love you so much and I know that I would not be at the point in my life that I am at right now if it weren't for you and your help and influence in my life. Thanks for always being there! I love you!

Love,
Dacy

Day 12

Day 12: How did you find out about blogger and why do you have one?

I don't really remember how I found out about blogger. I think it was just from a link on a friend's Facebook page. I started a blog because I wanted somewhere to just write down thoughts and stuff and just to talk I guess. I wanted a fun way to keep track of my life and some of the fun memories and things I experience, especially since I am now living at college instead of at home. It's all a new adventure, my blog is just along to record the ride!

Day 11

Day 11- another picture of you and your friends

Day 10

Day 10- songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyped, mad.

Hmm... Songs are always a hard thing for me to choose because there are SO many
and because what I listen to honestly depends on the day.
For today it's
Happy: If It's Love - Train
Smile - Uncle Kracker
Say Hey - Michael Franti & Spearhead
Sad: Sorry - Buckcherry
What Hurts The Most - Rascal Flatts
Secondhand Serenade
Bored: Pandora Internet Radio takes care of this most of the time.
When I'm bored I normally just turn that on & listen to my
"My Life Would Suck Without You" station.
Hyped: Dynamite - Taio Cruz
Love Like Woe - The Ready Set
Every Time We Touch - Cascada
Mad: Normally when I listen to music that calms me down.
Mormon Tabernacle Choir
Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet
Or other church stuff.

Day 9

Day 9: Something you're proud of in the last few days

Well this one is just too easy. I am proud of my brother. This past weekend I went home to tell him goodbye because he is leaving to serve his LDS mission on Wednesday November 17. He is going to Seoul, Korea. I can't even imagine the things going through his mind right now. I would be absolutely terrified! And he is so cool and calm and collected about the whole thing. He is staying strong even though he's hit some pretty hard trials these past few weeks before he's left. I cannot even imagine! I don't think I've ever been more proud of him in my entire life. He's my almost twin, best friend, older brother, and great example. I love him SO much!

Saturday, November 13, 2010

Day 8

Day 8: Short term goals for the month and why.

1. To successfully send my brother off on a mission and be able to handle life without being able to talk to him. This is a goal for me because he is one of my best friends and I have always had him there when I need him and it'll be hard without him.
2. Drive safely to and from St. George for Thanksgiving.
3. Get good grades. This is a goal because, of course, I want good grades and because I need them to keep up my scholarship.

Day 7

Day 7: A picture of someone/something that has made the biggest impact on you.
For me, this is SUCCESS Academy.
SUCCESS Academy gave me the opportunity to get my Associate Degree while in high school
with close to no cost to me.
This group of people and the administration who are not pictured
have been my best friends for the past 3 years.

Day 6

Day 6: Favorite superhero and why.

Hmm.... Well my favorite superhero is actually a plural superheros.
It's these two,
my parents.
In my eyes these two are superheros.
My Dad is such a great man.
He is strong and takes care of all of us.
And he is the sheriff which is a job that I think takes a super hero to do.
And my Mom.
My mom is my best friend.
She is patient and loving to everyone,
she rarely loses her cool and she forgives us for everything.
They are my favorite superheros.

Day 5

A picture of somewhere you've been to. Here I've got Florida (swimming with dolphins), Salt Lake (temple square on the 2009 choir trip), Lagoon (this time with my family this past summer, this trip also included Park City), Logan (this is from my SOAR trip), California (this was the beach across the street from my Dad's friend's beach house).

Chairs on Ice

Today I had probably thee most fun day in ice skating EVER!
We were working on our routine for our performance at the end of the semester
and yes, my teacher brought out chairs!
For the first time this semester,
the Beginners
made the
White Skates
JEALOUS!
We got to push the chairs around on the ice, get going as fast a we can go and then
SLIDE!
We looked like a bunch of crazy clowns but we had so much fun!
My personal favorite move was what I called the "Titanic".
What you do is get the chair moving as fast as you feel comfortable,
jump and kneel on the seat and then
stick your arms out like Rose did on the front of Titanic with Jack behind her
and sing
"Near, far, wherever you are!"
at the top of your lungs!
My teacher thought it was absolutely hilarious
And now she is seriously considering putting it into our routine.
SCORE!

Day 4

Day 4: A habit you wish you didn't have.

This one is a bit harder than the previous ones. I think it would have to be my inability to follow my planning skills. Almost everyday I try to map out my time and what I am going to do for the day and I NEVER follow my plan. Normally I set out study time and homework time and sleeping time and social time but I always seem to break away from my schedule by giving myself more social time or sleeping time and take away from the study and homework time and I always regret it later. That's the habit I wish I could change. Bad following my plan skills and procrastination.

Day 3

Day 3 - A picture of me and my friends. Now this one is easy!
