Summer?

Hello everyone!
I figured it was probably time to update my blog again after I was very kindly reminded that I haven't done so since April. I guess I'll tell a bit about my summer thus far. There have been lots of fun stories, visits with family, late nights with friends, missionary letters and more. Since I love lists, this is going to be in list form... sorta. Here we go!!

  • The weather hasn't been too wonderful in St. George. (Yes, I did just start out talking about the weather) Okay so honestly it hasn't been bad, just not quite up to where it usually is by now. But it's slowly getting there. Hopefully I can still get a St. George tan before I head east for the summer!
  • That's another big part of what I have been up to this summer. Getting ready for New York. Lots of packing and going through clothes and boxes and bins and everything. Going straight back to school from New York without stopping in St. George is going to be a bit of a challenge. Challenges are good though, right??
  • I have also spent quite a bit of time with my friends this summer. I went on a group date. We went on a picture scavenger hunt and it was really pretty fun! Plus, my group won so that was pretty amazing!
  • I also got to go to a friends 19th birthday bash and then his mission farewell (that was today). Good luck Brayden!! I know he will be a fabulous missionary!
  • Most of my time spent with friends this summer has been with one of my very best friends Lauren. She and I had to say good bye for awhile. She is now in Tennessee for most of the summer and we won't be able to meet up again until part way through this next school year. We are both going to have amazing summers though!! And I am so excited for her and her Tennessee adventure. I just hope she doesn't become too much of a hick. ;)
  • Along with spending time with friends my age, I was also able to have an afternoon with one of my greatest friends who isn't my age. J-Anne. I love her so much! When I went to see her, I told her all about New York and my plans for there. She was actually one of my references for the job. I told her how nervous and basically 100% terrified I am about the whole thing and she made me feel so much better about it. I am so excited now! And a lot of that is thanks to her.
  • I got to do my friends hair for her sister's wedding and I went to the reception. She was such a beautiful bride and I am so happy for her!!
  • My cousin Brooke came over and we had a tanning day. Which turned into a swimming day because the pool felt so wonderful. First time I went swimming this entire summer! I am way behind!
  • Right now I have some of my cousins and their kids at my house. I love them so much! They are quite a handful sometimes though. We woke up this morning to find my fishbowl a nasty yellow color. Turns out that my cousin, he is 2, dumped the entire contents of my fish food jar into the bowl and it soaked there all night. The gist of the story is that it was a big mushy mess. I forgot what it's like to have little kids around all the time. I love them so much though! I also got to build a fort out of the couches and some blankets and sheets. I played the card game war with a 5 year old and got my butt kicked. And we made homemade ice cream!
Now I've got about a week and a half until I leave the STG and head off on a new adventure. I am sad to be leaving this behind but I also am so excited for the rest of the summer. Haha I should probably stop blogging and start packing. If you actually read all of this, you are awesome!
